This ice-cool gift experience in Iceland takes you through some of the country’s must-visit sites, including the spectacular Gullfoss waterfall flowing 32m down lava steps, Þingvellir National Park, where centuries ago the Vikings created the world’s oldest parliament, and the majestic Geysir, the famed geothermal area where you’ll witness Geysir and his little brother, Strokkur, spurting boiling hot water up to 25m into the air. Simply unmissable sights, and that’s only part of the fun. Before the tour starts, you’ll have your choice of going either rafting or caving, both fantastic ways to get some adrenaline and learn about the forces of nature that have shaped Iceland’s landscape for generations.
Join a thrilling raft expedition down the surging Hvítá River, through steep canyons and past rapids. At one point you’ll pause for some cliff-jumping, then head to base for a shower, sauna, and to start the sightseeing tour. Alternatively, head underground with a mind-blowing hike through a lava tunnel. Visiting either Gjábakkahellir (Gjabakkahellir) or Leiðarendi (Leidarendi), you’ll see how ancient volcanos gave Iceland its distinctive characteristics. A great-value day out, this Tinggly Iceland experience will give you the shivers.
