The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel is a historic hotel opened in 1927 located in the heart of Hollywood. Being right on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this hotel cannot be beaten for its location. Universal Studios, Farmers Market, Beverly Hills, Dodger Stadium and Downtown L.A. are close by. This hotel was host to the first Academy Awards in 1929 and there is an extensive exhibit on the history of the Hollywood film industry on the second floor of the hotel.
The hotel is a traditional multi-story, grand white building with arched windows. The hand-painted decorative ceilings and wrought-iron grillwork that distinguish the Spanish Style architecture in the lobby, where you can also find a lounge and bar area. The hotel's lounge is a popular spot for live cabaret, Jazz and Blues and a perfect end after dinner at Theodores, offering California cuisine.
